I do use a USB cable. Bluetooth doesn't work on either laptop.

Not used Signal. Isn't that what trump and co. use to disseminate secret data?

Again, another 'app' :(

I don't know about Trump etc. I do know that Signal was written by the same authors as Whats App because they sold Whatsapp to the big boys not realising it would get compromised! So they wrote Signal with end to end encryption and have maintained it since launch. Probably the best free communications option on the net. Would you like me to send you an invite Steve, if so confirm your mobile by PM and I'll send you the link or you can search online and do it from there! :-D

Using Signal is a good plan Mick, safe and saves faffing around with cables 😀

Bluetooth also if your laptop supports it... None of mine do...

Bluetooth is very slow compared to a USB lead in my experience.

Thanks Mick but I will continue with the USB lead.

Not a fan of 'apps'.

Yes I found that too so don't know why I mentioned it really!! :-D

However I use Signal because I can save the pics when I am away from the laptop and then access them on the laptop when I am ready. Hence while on the recent trip I saved each flurry of pics just after taking them and then used them in the evenings on the laptop to do the write ups!! :-D

I could do that on one of my Google accounts. I disabled it on the main one as it is clogged up and I keep getting warnings about low space left.

Only with the phone though, the other cameras are not wifi.

Good to know Paul :) As my laptops don't support it I've never tried it and now even if I could I won't bother...

I think I'd have most of the vinyl records that are in that auction. Some well known and not so well known ones there :)
