C155A Permanent Handbrake Fault on C4 Picasso

Hi Everyone, I have visited this site many times for help but now have an issue that I could really do with some support. I have a Citroen Picasso C4 1.6tdi. In February the handbrake wire snapped so I had it replaced. Since then I have been back to the same garage 4 times and they have replaced an ABS Sensor and a Wheel bearing (random?)! Anyways, I drove away from the same garage today with no working handbrake and in the same position I was since February, they believe I may now need to replace the motor but they can't confirm this will fix the issue. All info below:

Error code: C155A
VIN of car is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] UD9HZC 9J091647
Errors on dashboard lit up are: Service, ESP, P, Auto off.

I have attached all the pics that are relevant.

My main question is, do we believe it is the motor as I have lost all faith in this garage and I am £640 down already. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have a better chance of help if you post this problem in the Citroen part of the forum which you will find from the board index accessed by clicking on the main banner above. (You can use this link now for a shortcut ) Once you are in the Citroen section I suggest you put "C4 electric handbrake" in the search box as there are quite a few threads there that you may get your answers from before you post your issue.
