I wonder if it's a sneaky advert by the cops to see who's buying.

If not, it would be a good ploy to adopt...

Something a little different today...

I finally got your negative scanner fired up James :-D

This is what it did with one of my home-processed negs :) Not bad for its 5MP resolution 8-) I'm rather pleased. Thanks hugely for the loan of the scanner James :D

The bridge in the photo connects our parish church with the cemetery. It is notorious for being struck by Luton box-vans. Hence the sign...

The processed film did show up a problem with the shutter in my £10 Charity Shop find Canon EOS 500. It was found to be suffering contamination due to disintegrating foam shutter 'bumpers' and causing it to be a bit sticky and intermittent in operation. A common problem now on lots of cameras over a certain age it seems...

Now fixed (fingers-crossed) by cleaning the shutter leaves with huge care using naphtha (lighter fuel), strips of card and cotton buds...

I've found Reddit has a brilliant subreddit dealing with analogue (film) camera repairs :)

I am glad it is of use, Jim. You can borrow it for as long as you need it, but I will let you know if I spot them on Aldi/Lidl website. The bit I couldn't get to grips with (due to lack of knowledge/experience) is adjusting the colour balance for 'distorted' images.

Thanks James :D I'd very much appreciate if you could look out for one in the usual places ;)

I've got to grips with it very well. No problems using the colour balance settings and I found if I did need to do any post processing I could import the scan into the GIMP and work on it from there... The image above is straight out of your scanner with no adjustments or post-processing :)

I've just sent you a PM about it ;)
