hello from Banff Scotland

hello from Banff Scotland

Unread post by crawfordc »

New to this forum, now in my mid 60s. After passing my test at 17 in 1977, my first real van/car was Ex GPO Morris Minor van, prior to that my dad got me a Reliant Regal van also in green to play with wish i still had it tbh, after the Morris there was a couple of Bedford HA vans, a Morris Marina van, then my first car a Mk1 Escort, then a few Cortina's, first french car was a Renault 12 with the gear box in front of the engine if i remember rightly. something to be said for old cars with no electronics in them. currently I drive a 2006 Peugeot Expert with over 400k on the clock ( ex taxi ) & a BEDFORD CF Motorhome

Hello. I'm in Macduff and own a citroen dispatch. It's off the road just now, out of mot and I have been ill and not up to sorting it out. It's a mere youngster compared to yours at 125k an 2014 vintage. The plan is to convert into a day van. I've driven and owned lots of French cars, highest mileage one wa a taxi pug 806 hdi which was taxied until over 500k on original engine. I used to deliver for the lighthouse takeaway and think I have delivered to you, the cf motor home rings a bell. Did you used to have 2 of them and stay beside the old chicken factory?
