Oh, I forgot to get back to this post. Yes, I got it fixed. Engine cooling fan did not work in slow speed, so it gave the P0494 fault. Problem was the engine cooling fan relay. I bought a replacement and after fitting it, slow fan speed works again and all faults went away.

Great to hear. I am just interested in the part itself . Seems the mechanics are struggling to understand if it’s the the whole cooling fan system or only the the rely that’s causing thi. Would be interesting to see what part you actually ordered- if you recall that info and would be so kind to share it / it would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, the part number is 9673999880. As I said, after putting the new part in place the fault codes disappeared and the engine cooling fan works in slow and fast speeds.

After suggestivt this to the mechanics and fitting it, the error disappeared and hasn’t come back.
