Any current or past GS owners out there that happen to have a spare wheel and a jack they no longer require lying around in their garage?
The wheel ought to be the design that doesn't have vent holes. I think this was used on the last GSs and then GSAs?

Re: GS junk in your garage?
There are two types if I am not mistaken. The older type are hard to find - those with ten holes. The later type have six slots.
I don't have any surplus wheels, but I might have a couple of jacks that are surplus. I'll check out the barn later today and take photos.

Thanks for the reply, would you be prepared to post a jack by whatever mean is the cheapest? I am in Sussex.
Our wheels have no holes, they look like this (it is a late G Special):

? Looks like the one I had. Still maintain it is the best car I have owned.
Can't remember if it had holes in the wheels or not but it did have Pallas style wheel covers in stainless steel that covered the whole wheel.

I'll be in the barn later. Will post images. Want nothing for them save the postage. Will weigh and compare costs.

Re: GS junk in your garage?
Two jacks, different brackets at the top.
My own GS (1975 Pallas) is the same as the left hand one. Slips into a bracket under the cill beneath the 'B' pillar.
I have no idea what the right hand one fits, certainly not my GS!
Postage under £4, weight 1.79kg. I used a BN16AU postcode (Brighton & Hove).
Take your pick.

Hi Derek,
Thanks for digging them out. I need to get down to the car (which is tucked up in my son's garage) and work out which one fits! If it is OK with you I'll get back to you hopefully next week.
Best
Michael

Re: GS junk in your garage?
I still have one spare as shown in my comments above, it's the one on the right hand side in the images. Please note the welded on clip on the top, it is different to the left and you would need either to ascertain that it would fit into any jack location support on the cill underside - or - cut it off and adapt and fit a new 'clip' so as to fit the cill underside. The clip is not a load bearing part of the jack, it only holds the jack in place while winding it up.MarcF wrote: 26 Feb 2024, 04:05 I'm also after a jack for my newly enquired GS Pallas if anyone had a spare one?
It has been cleaned up and oiled and is functioning as designed.
Private message me if still interested.
Derek.

Re: GS junk in your garage?
Sorry, a year later .... I believe the jack on the right is a series 1 CX jack.

Re: GS junk in your garage?
Thank you. We did have a series 1 CX many years ago (a Familiale). Must have been from that period.aerodynamica wrote: 06 Mar 2025, 20:35 Sorry, a year later .... I believe the jack on the right is a series 1 CX jack.
