Jim i look at them but i really want a confirmation about the sensor connections.
1)the external temp sensor connects on vert(green) connection on 14 and 15pins?
2) the oil sensor connects on blue connection on 5 and 10 pins?
thank you very much.

Just looked again and I agree. That is correct Panagiotistioklou wrote:Jim i look at them but i really want a confirmation about the sensor connections.

Looking forward to an update on progress very soon

Hi Jim
I rechecked the connections and i want your help! I looked at the traces of the instruments pcb and although the pin ten on blue connection goes on the oil temp gauge the pin 5 goes on the high temp check lamp of the oil temp gauge! Is this right?
Thank you very much!!!

Re: Xantia activa speedometer fitment
That is correct Panagiotis. The Oil temperature sender that screws into the sump has two sensors in it. A contact to indicate over-temperature that lights the lamp via pin 5 and a thermistor that drives the temperature gauge via pin 10. Pin 1 is a common +12V supply for the gauge.tioklou wrote:Hi Jim

Sorry for the delay in responding. Been very busy recently and no time to spend time consulting wiring diagrams

Re: Xantia activa speedometer fitment
Dear Jim, I decided to "convert" my cable-driven speedometer to the electronic one. Could you share any diagram on how the VSS signal is connected in the latter versions? My Xantia is a 94' 2.0 8v petrol (XU10J2) but the VSS sensor itself has the mechanical cable (going to the instrument cluster) and the electronic connector going to the engine ECU so I know I will have to do some wiringCitroJim wrote: 25 Jan 2017, 16:54 Hi Panagiotis
I see a big problem. If the top picture is from your 1993 Xantia it has a cable-driven speedometer. All Activas have electronic speedometers so if you want to use the Activa instruments in your early Xantia you would need to replace the speed sensor in the gearbox and do a considerable amount of wiring to make the speedometer work.
I can likely supply the wiring diagrams you need to do the work but I do advise it will not be simple or straightforward.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
