Hi Marc, if you’ve got the possibility to provide the iso for 6.63 that would be really appreciated! No rush though. Thanks!

Re: RT3 in C6 rebooting and beeping
Tried with a cd today to update the firmware of head unit but my RT3 won’t play nice unfortunately.
I decided to go ahead and swap my faulty, not booting RT3 for a replacement head unit that I already purchased because I happend to stumble upon it.
That’s simple enough, unscrew the 2 torx 10 screws and pull the unit forward. Unplug the connectors and plug them into the other unit and slide it back in the dashboard.
I now have a booting unit, working parking sensors and other menu’s like before. I managed to put the correct vin in the unit so now it’s no longer beeping. There does unfortunately zeem to be an issue as it won’t remember the set time and date or the radio stations. Also the pin for the sim card it seems to forget. So it seems like this backup battery is dead too?
Maybe it’ll behave after it’s been in the car for a while. The unit is an improvemenr anyway as at least the rest of the features now work.

Re: RT3 in C6 rebooting and beeping
Yes, these are so old not that most backup battery units found in these will have depleted completely if not kept on a residual or regular top up charge, so be prepared. Glad you have it back to near normality.
One thing I should mention is that the nature of these units is such that the air cooling of the unit is usually supplied by fans outside of the RT3 and these blow air into the unit to cool it. However the downside is that this also aid ins gunking up the CD reading lens with a film that gradually makes reading the CDs for Navigation or playing MP3 CDSs slower and more intermittent. The lens can be carefully cleaned with some isopropyl alcohol and a some lint free swabs to remove the build up (after careful disassembly of the unit), so just thought this was worth a mention.
