BHI replacement

Unread post by Cittotraang »

Hi everyone.

I am standing before the possible situation of an BHI replacement on our C5X7.
There are replacements to buy with the same number but the engine codes are not the same.
My question is if anyone has the knowledge if there is any significant difference between the DW12C that is the donor and my UHZ, car vin VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

Yes, there are differences otherwise they would all be the same part number and there are multiple versions depending on engine and body type for example. The BHI is configured specifically for the vehicle, but there may be other slight differences. as even the standard unconfigured BHIs are not the same part numbers.

I can't advise on the differences as this info is not made available.

Thanks Marc.
I just located some loose wires and an empty socket that I wonder if they are supposed to go together.
The pictures are from underneath the lid for the fuses on the drivers side under the bonnet.
I am not familiar with this car yet as I just bought it cheap for just the reason that the suspension is not working.

It might be because you are working on the connectors and wiring, but have you noticed 1 of the 3 connectors is not fully inserted? It’s grey locking lever is not pulling the connector in like the other 2 are.

And I now get "Suspension faulty max 90km/h"
All related fuses are good.
All contacts sprayed and cleaned.

Possible to low pressure, check if the pomp is still running?
Check fuse F39 10A
Check connection with the high sensors and the stiffness regulators.

Kees.

No. Every good idea will be tried and reported back. The pump runs, all fuses good. Still F019 on the diagnos and suspension faulty max 90kmh.
Fluids on right level in tank.

You sure about fuse F39,because there are 2 of them with the same number.
A left hand steering car is difficult to find the right one.
I don't know where you can find this one on a right hand steering car.

Well, this is the thing. My manual/book says I have an A and a C fuse but no B.....
I see the B and it has 5 fuses (that I have tested positive) in it. I have not located F39 number 2 on the A rack. All numbers are H something.
The battery is in the boot and has a large fuse holder on top with also are fine.
All maxi fuses are good and tested but my suspension fuse are the second from left instead of the first from right.
I have several cut cables under the hood and are not able to identify them yet.

Please be aware that some X7 manuals have errors regarding the fuses!

See my post here from when I was installing a Dash Camera - I have the correct fusebox pictures and designations:
