It is a bit late, but I got this rainbow in Ellesmere last month, and the sunset somewhat earlier.

'Mizzle' is a new word to me and an excellent description.

My dad always called it 'roak', no idea where that came from other than he was from Doncaster.
Sometimes also 'Scotch Mist'.

One for Neil.

Apparently a brick 'train' (locomotive) near Darlington. Use by the Northern Echo in connection with a car crash near it.

Irritates me that newspapers and others but especially newspapers, that should know better, can't differentiate between locomotives and trains, also railway stations and 'train stations'.
Picture of the day including grump of the day.

Ed: A quick look at the article shows it happened near Great Burdon and Sadberg, close to where my daughter lived until recently.
Always amused me to drive through Sadberg and wonder why it was so sad. Also used to work for a bloke called Ken Burdon.

I had to go and collect an ebay purchase today to keep me occupied while SWMBO is in New Zealand. The lady sent me her address saying "You can't miss it, the one with the decorations!!"

She wasn't kidding: :-D

I have never suffered that problem Steve although I haven't thrown any since leaving BT in 1990. I used to play in the Watford and District League for Watford Telecomms, but after leaving Watford Exchange in 1983 I only played when they were a man short so it waned until I stopped and concentrated on Snooker when I wasn't Rallying!! :-D
