2012 2.2 Relay ..airbag ECU? Need Diagbox

Hello I have a Citroen Relay 2012 with a genuine 51,000 miles on clock, which on Saturday displayed Airbag fault refer to handbook. This included the red indicator for airbag as well as the seat bet indicator.
A garage not main agent suspects airbag ECU (estimated costs £1-2k) as it’s not communicating but I don’t think they have Diagbox unit! Main agent cannot look at van till mid Jan!.
Can anyone advise help to gain access a Diagbox that’s local to Norwich , Ipswich, Colchester as I’m in Stowmarket .
New ECU.. silly money. Can ECU be removed ie battery disconnected and unit sent away for repair? Then can it be plug back in a it works.
Tried to contact Dave in Norwich and also Ed in Colchester from those who have access to Diagbox unit unfortunately cannot email them?

Now that you have had a post approved you should be able to send PMs (private messages) to other users, but no guarantee that they will respond.

No communication with an ECU could be as simple as a blown fuse or cut wire. I don't think that the airbag ECU requires coding, so a second hand unit may be a practical possibility.

It's a common fault i've heard mainly from the campervans owners. It seems to happen more often when car is sitting a lot in the parking, trouble with internal battery. There are more shops in UK that are doing airbag module repairs by mail.
