Wing Mirror DS5
I have purchased a replacement wing mirror following a smash. I cannot remove the wires connecting the overtaking warning light from their connectors to connect to the new mirror. The heating element connectors are easily removed from the smashed mirror. Any suggestions please. I have tugged and tugged but am fearful of snapping them off completely

Re: Wing Mirror DS5
The systems with Blind spot monitoring have specific mirrors and require the same types of mirrors to be replaced. I suspect you may have an incorrect mirror glass part. Either that or you may hav a blind spot camera, in which case the mirror, motor and shell casing need to be removed to provide access.

Re: Wing Mirror DS5
Thanks for your reply. My smashed mirror and my new one have both got the blind spot monitoring. It's just that I can't disconnect the old one, to connect to the new one. The connections will not pull off as hard as I might try. The heating element connections are fine and I can disconnect those from the old mirror and connect to the new one

Re: Wing Mirror DS5
I can't help you in that case as this sounds like the last model before discontinuation, and these had blind spot cameras:
Connector shown at 'a' and camera at (2)
