The Blue Xantia will niggle away in the background, Maybe a shade known as Bleu Buckingham but for now a move on unless someone can come up with a bit of convincing evidence.

The two UK Examples have reg nos quite similar

I snapped this the other day.

For me this is a very neat and presentable modern Mini, in a nice colour scheme. Bigger than the Mini's of old of course, but by no means the lardiest incarnation of the Mini 2024 stable by any means, two door and quite compact.

Cheers Mick, it is a rare colour on a Xantia, but a common colour on a Xsara/Saxo etc, and doesn't appear on the standard lists of Xantia colours so maybe those examples were special orders.

The Saxo colour is nice enough, but the most interesting thing could be its name. The Saxo is famed for its special edition names, Scandal, Spree, and that yellow one, very probably a Citroen Saxo Mischief special edition...

Big Black Car

Difficult to capture a shiny black car in a decent photograph. This Bentley was eyecatching, lovely balck shine and plenty of chrome and a quirky rear view which have to say I like. Intrigued as to how the rear lights show the correct colours with an outer appearance of opaque orangey red. Unusual presentation.

The front has plenty of Chrome but far less appealing than the rear in my eyes, shouting bulkiness, rather than style.

Very decent black paint, and interesting enough to get a Falcon shutter click.

Rubbish, Sunderland is miles and miles and miles away.
My son works near the Nissan factory and is definitely in Washington.
As is the Washington Aircraft Museum. And as was the Washington Aerodrome that Nissan displaced (buried).
Used to watch the aircraft and skydivers/parachutists from our front window.

I was wondering where the Clan factory was and may look into it. Probably knew but forgotten. It was before we came to live here.

I did have some prototype clan's though (Hillman Imps).

You might have seen me.! The first time I flew in a plane was at Sunderland Airport as it was known then 1981 ish.
At 2000 feet up the light aircraft cut its engine and dropped us out. I thought that we had gone miles behind the airfield but we all safely made it down and didn't overshoot and land on the A19, although that thought did flash through my mind as I was floating down.

Still have the certificate somewhere Signed by Jim Barnes, instructor in chief. Should I find it it will go on the one for the airbuffs thread.
