Hi everyone
The central locking on my Australian delivered 2001 Peugeot 306 Cabriolet will lock then unlock a short time after. It can take many attempts to get it to stay locked.
Anyone here had this problem and been able to fix it?
If so, what was the problem and how was it fixed.
Remote locking from the key no longer works as well.
The battery was replaced with no result.
Anyone have a fix for this problem?
Thanks for any replies.

Re: Central locking problems
Locking followed by immediate unlocking is usually caused by failure of one of the lock motors.
Each lock has a switch that senses that the door locked successfully, and if any door didn't lock, then they are all unlocked.
Sometimes you can identify the faulty lock by locking each door manually with a key or the interior button and the lock that doesn't trigger unlock of the other door is probably the faulty one.
