What happens to threads if you don't bother with any active "gardening" since December 1 2023.
They return to their slumbers and slide back into the forgotten archives.

What day is it today :?: Yes its a new month. New pictures as the calendars turn, and worth an image or two taken on the day. Interesting to note the ice-o-meter of my Dec 01 post. Hardly a hint of snow since although somewhere today the odd flake will fall. -3 C this morning.

The frosty landscape in the morning sunlight breaking through patches of mist was gorgeous but the falcon camera had run out of battery. Would have given a totally different impression of March 1st 2024, than the afternoon brooding skies down at Rumbling Kern on the Coast.

Not wishing to overload POTD with my manipulations as well as the conventional shutter clicking I find the random patterns of simple things like sand and shells, stones, and seaweed as per POTD interesting.

March 1st patterns down at the seaside.

PS its the thread's 4th Birthday, but since I stopped gardening, it has returned to its natural level. So what was produced on October 1st in previous years

Well, after my C5 was crashed into I picked up her actual replacement today (I say actual, because for a few weeks I have a Volvo V70 that turned out to have some worrying engine issues, including (but not limited to) an excessive oil leak in the words of a Volvo dealership mechanic, so it got returned for a full refund). However, that did not put me off Volvos, as I now have a 12 reg V70 with quite a few toys (and, hopefully, only a couple of minor issues). Mike gave me a lift to see and then buy her (so Thanks Mike). I think the battery may need replacing, as DrivE was not triggering for the reason that the battery was charging (and this remained even after a 60 mile drive), and the screen wash pump isn't working (a momentary sputter from either front or rear jets, but the headlight wash DEFINITELY works!). Very comfortable, and on a motorway drive she was very accomplished. I will have to take photos, but not right now.

EDIT; The battery is probably fine, as Drive ECO was running on the way to the shops this morning.
