There are 2 versions - one is called a Suspension Rebound Block and the other a 'Buffer'.
Your build date code of 16293 = 18 June 2021.
DS9 vehicles built up to 26th July 2020 (RPO 15966), had the rubber rebound fitted, (part: 9824164780) which is what is printed on your vehicle.
DS9 vehicles built from 27th July 2020 (RPO 15967) onwards have a different part called a buffer (part: 9834333080). This is what you should have according to official parts.
There's a significant price difference and the later part is called a 'Buffer', costing £126.08. The Rebound Block you have is priced £46.13.
So the obvious question here is have these been previously replaced with the incorrect part? What about the other side?
Is there any evidence these have been replaced under warranty? If so, maybe they fitted the incorrect parts leading to the uncomfortable ride?
Something to take up with the dealer possibly - their own parts database should clearly say the same as this is what we use:
In the above you can see the RPO build dates I mentioned (unfiltered by VIN to show all the part numbers for this item).
When filtered with VIN, you can clearly see the part is the one you don't currently have fitted - you have the older incorrect part according yo the photo.
That's my Sherlock Holmes bit done for the day
