Not the answer to Steve's little puzzler here viewtopic.php?p=803636#p803636

Something which popped up in my little delve looking for models that ended "ya". I'm sure Mr Link Liu would shove a few on the Aquarius Ace next time it makes a journey from China to the Tyne.

The NETA "Aya"

One thing I very much like about it from a word spotters point of view, is that one of the 5 colours it comes in is "half sugar milk tea" , the new beige , all the better for being described as "trendy" :-D
The Neta AYA is available in five trendy colors: Half Sugar Milk Tea, Baby Blue, Green Cloud White, Laurel Green and Sky Gray. In addition to classic black, Half Sugar Milk Tea and Baby Blue can be paired with the new Misty Blue White and Optical White interiors, as well as supporting the optional black floating roof, which directly captures the individual colors of young people.

In the flesh..."Half Sugar Milk Tea"

I'd be wondering if that was a car problem or an excuse by a careless driver.

Interesting how things have moved on since I took the plunge with our 24kWh Leaf with a 50kW DC rapid charge port in 2019. Second hand there was only the Leaf or the Zoe in any sort of volume, and a paltry collection of different new models.

Fast forward to now and there are new options a plenty, a better choice of second-hand, and capacity of batteries has increased where even that little Hyundai has a battery option double that of the Leaf and Zoe pioneers.

From the vid
"Its got 2 battery options a 49kWh and a 42kWh." The presenter then goes on to say the 80kW DC charging is "OK" on that small Hyundai because the "battery is so small".

The Peugeot 208 has had a bit of coverage in FCF threads, and I did watch a bit of this merely because it featured the 2024 "Agueda Yellow" colour featured here viewtopic.php?p=806342#p806342 , and which I had spotted on our travels.

If you are interested in finding out about particular new vehicles youtube is full of the videos of a walkround and little drive lasting around 10 minutes or so, and a journalist pontificating about its features, experienced by them in a half hour of being allowed to "test" the car. Unsurpringly they all have a boring sameness.

Watch it if you want. No recommendation from me, but it does show the car in "Agueda Yellow" livery ! and draws attention to "the Claws" :-D

Whatever happened to Ford :?: Traditionally a best seller in the UK.

Well there's this. Their all-new Ford Explorer (VW ID4 with different clothes and a blue oval). One to look out for for the Electric Vehicles What have you Spotted thread. No one has spotted one yet on the roads of the UK. (Available to order...late 2024! according to the Ford UK Website) Made at the Ford Cologne EV Centre in German just in case anyone was thinking it was made in Dagenham.

This is a pretty comprehensive test run video, the guy's voice will probably put you off before you get past the daft stuff and onto the nitty gritty so I suggest you forward it to about 36 minutes in to watch.

Ford and Volkswagen have formed a strategic partnership to collaborate on electric vehicles (EVs) and self-driving technology. This alliance leverages Volkswagen’s MEB platform, which Ford will use for its upcoming EVs12. The first Ford EV based on this platform is expected to be a crossover, set to debut in 2023

I put a video up of the Ford Explorer a few posts back. Like most review vids, content and presentation can grate a little :-D

here viewtopic.php?p=807825#p807825

Ford late to the party so I imagine VW will have extracted their pound of flesh for their development work.
