RT3 Amplifier

This is the RT3 unit and was made by Magneti Marelli
The RT3 was available in a few different hardware versions, the later ones supporting MP3 playback. These units had an optical connection to the Display Screen.

RT3 Amplifier

@marc
Thank you. You are the bible of RT3 and probalby to more other models:)
I see that output on RT3 is 4x35W, which is not enought for me. Found 9651773880 JBL audio amplifier, which is RT3 compartible from 607 peugeot and other models. Is it a basic plug and play amplifier? Do all those JBL original amplifiers fit on RT3? This JBL supports a sub also, which is great.
I was searching a datasheet and connection diagram, but its really hard to find. Thanks a million!

The C2 didn't have a factory fitted amplifier option, so I can't advise you on this.

These are not plug and play in any case, as they need configuring in the BSI and you need to be aware that there are 2 versions of RT3:- CAN and VAN versions and these are not interchangeable. This also applies to the accessories and the amplifiers. If you have your VIN and a factory fitted RT3, I can advise you which type you have.

Personally, though, I'd suggest you go for an aftermarket amplifier that has a 'line output converter' as the RT3 will have a built in amplifier, for which the speaker output levels will be too high otherwise.

Hello,
After a speaker upgrade, I got really bad sound quality from RT3. Not only lack of power, but also bad sound, specialy on middle freq.
Im now thinking of replace the radio with some new one. I have RT3 with big screen and navi option. Is there any way to keep the screen/display on for the car info etc, and to replace the radio?

No these screens are specifically designed to operate with the RT3. Earlier versions were also fibre optic connections so wouldn't be any good with any other equipment.
