Looking at the ElliptiGO website and clicking on "Dealers" very few came up in the UK, none what I would call bike shops, more agents from the Personal trainer/Gym world. I suspect ElliptiGO do Gym equipment too. Suffice to say one of the half dozen listed was in Milton Keynes. This sort of personal trainery/gym establishment

Yes, it's basically an elliptical trainer (as you'd often fined in gyms) on wheels. They surely do give you a good workout...

I used to regularly see one being 'ridden' between Northampton and Milton Keynes...

After a period of emergence from cluttered storage 5 years ago, it returned to its natural habital, but the Raleigh Nova Sport (1985) is out again in July 2024 and has had its maiden voyage since its slumbers this very morning.

..and kicks off a potential new theme for the FCF audience of 2024 to join in with. I measure success these days with the possibility of a single response but really if you have a bike, just do it and join in. I offer up No1 in the series, FCF Members Bikes in Scenic Locations/ interesting backgrounds. A double yoke-er as well.

Any of the regular cyclerists on here ever owned a Mercian ? :)

"Four cyclists save 'iconic' bespoke bicycle maker"

"Bespoke bicycle maker Mercian Cycles has been saved after the business was bought by four cyclists who did not want to see it disappear.
The manufacturer ceased trading and entered voluntary liquidation in May 2024 after almost 80 years.
The four new owners are in the process of getting the business back up and running.
They will be employing former members of Mercian Cycles staff, and a few have already returned to the workshop in Derby."

I did write "Few things are more interesting than old railway sleepers"

Arrange them into a railway workers cabin, put a corrugated iron roof on it and build a brick chimney and you have an ensemble of pure delight.
