I have Citroen c4 2007 1.6 HDI and my heat blower doesn't work due to BSM failure.
The one that's now inside is BSM L04-04 with SN: S118983004 Q and I've bought one used with SN: s118983004 J
What does letters Q and J stand for? Can I use the one that I just bought?

Hello guys,

I have the same issue as the previous post's owner. My heater fan stopped working and after troubleshooting it turned out a power relay inside the BSM is faulty. Unfortunatelly when disassembling the BSM (where you need to cut the plastic housing) I damaged the PCB and now I will replace the entire BSM module.

The faulty one with my car is BSM-L04-00 S118983004Q 6500CK. The one I found is BSM-L04-00, S118983004 L and instead of 6500CK it has 9657718580.

Do you think they are interchangeable? Does someone know what is the difference?

These units do have differences (and different part numbers) on the 307 and there are a few variants, so you do need the correct one.

6500CK is no longer available from the dealer. So I suggest you try and match the one you have. Look at the 96* number on your original before the BSM L04 part on the label and match up a replacement with this number.

According to the compatibility checker on Ebay it fits my Citroen C4 2.0 VTR+ Petrol

These were different depending on equipment and features, as well as build date. You need to check with your dealer as the 6500 FG part number is not listed officially, so unless it has another longer code, I can't check. So maybe you need to check with your dealer, as 6500 CK is no longer available. Always best to match the 96* number exactly if looking for a second hand one.

I can't find a BSM online with the exact same number as 9658539480, so are you sure that 6500CK would fit? I've found few brand new on my local auction site.

You also require the same part (6500CK) which as I said is no longer available from Citroen - so just 'Google' 6500CK and you will see results for supplies - as long as it mentions in the listings 6500CK you will be fine. There is no coding needed.
