Indeed, but I'm lazy and it used to have bags of torque. Which perhaps it is gradually regaining. *fingers crossed*

Re: C8 2.2HDi really hates hills - turbo or DPF issue perhaps?
Well all this talk about cleaning solutions ive had my risk of blocked dpf warning this weekend but had the feeling it would so i threw in a bottle of the old clean it all in a bottle plus a can of k2 straight into the dpf via the o2 sensor then pressurised the dpf with the help of my air compressor on a low psi , did this before i knew i was doing 80 mile round trip worked a treat warning gone all back to as it was before.
Dirty Egr valves don't like hills but keep using the cleaner i used to do one bottle every other month 5 year ago, not so paranoid now but it always improved the acceleration, mpg and quietened the engine to.

Today I've tried accelerating from 30mph in fourth gear, it starts at 1200 revs and she is starting to build up speed, not massive acceleration but from 1200 rpms I can't complain, it's just the hills that bug me. Have you noticed any difference after replacing the DPF?

It's not slipping or playing up in any way shape or form. Power drops massively on hills though

I didn't notice it changing anything, no.
I'm on to my second bottle of engine cleaning fuel additive, but I'm still only doing about 50 miles a week at the moment so it's going to take a while. I might actually have to find reason to go on some long drives before the MOT is due in mid October.

List for all to see , when did this start ? How did it get worse, where do you buy your fuel ? Egr ok ? Clutch can be ruled out, whats the cat like ? Can you take temperature reading of cat,dpf when its really hot then pop up the readings. Are the vacuum hoses in good condition ? Brakes not binding ?

Re: C8 2.2HDi really hates hills - turbo or DPF issue perhaps?
My Lexia/Diagbox is due to arrive on Tuesday. Apparently it's window 10 compatible so should be easy to use with my current laptop 'if I can pry it out of my son's hands'. If I see less than 20 fault codes I'll be shocked and worried that I've bought a duff one. I'm intrigued and nervous about what it will flag up... I'm praying for the best. I'll update once I get the courage to plug it into my baby.

Okay, I finally got diagbox installed on the laptop, or should I say my son installed it for me. I thought at 39 I could cope but no, 14yr old to the rescue.... hopefully I get to use it soon but busy week, but Saturday at the latest!!

Re: C8 2.2HDi really hates hills - turbo or DPF issue perhaps?
Just an update, I/we've installed the 7.83 32bit version, rather than the 9.129 64bit version. 32 bit works on 64 bit laptops, I know this because my boy said "derrrrr you idiot!!" My question is.... can I install the most update version of diagbox and select an earlier version for my car in the menus or is it "that's your version that's it" kind of thing

I would not go past DiagBov V7.58, as PSA then started reducing functionality (requiring server connectivity for certain functions).

Well this one comes with everything!! Including every function going, it's password protected, have to watch videos on how to install including extra passwords to unlock the software. But is there a way I can install the most modern version and still revert it back to 7.8 or not?

I've not used this before so just asking before I plug it in. I would like to get most modern if not detrimental to my car needs, incase it helps someone else
