Re: Notices..what have you spotted?
Probably not, just on the toilet bowl.
Jim re your 'heads down' post. Many years ago we had a friend - well we still have I'm pleased to say, he rode into the back of a milk float head down, remember those? sadly he broke his spine and has been in a wheelchair ever since, so it can happen although not very often fortunately. I remembering riding into the back of a parked car, didn't hurt myself much but its a reminder.

Gosh, that's serious Peter! Poor him... Friend of mine did as you did a few years ago... He was the laughing-stock of the club for that for a while but it acts as a good salutary warning... He's the first to advise to look up regularly!Peter.N. wrote: 08 Aug 2023, 10:44

It was probably telling people not to flush crisp/chip packets down the toilet.Steve Walsh wrote: 08 Aug 2023, 06:04

Not really a notice, more a label. But their "tagline" really caught my eye!

That's quite a curious tagline Matt... Not sure what they're trying to say there
No doubt about what this one was saying... The information on the bottom of the sign was most welcome and enjoyed!

Re: Notices..what have you spotted?
In a similar vein this was the notice which was the threadstarter for this very thread back in dim and distant 2017.
NeilNewcastleFalcon wrote: 02 Aug 2017, 19:56 I detest but also enjoy notices in equal measure, especially if a sarcastic or genuinely funny comment can be added. Might be nice to start a collection...see how it goes...they are all over the place so easy to find, and the unintended absurdities in them can be entertaining.
Here's one from me to kick it off.....spotted today...the only shop/cafe for 10 miles or so....but unable to cope it seems with the "hoards" of weekend cyclists darkening its doors on a Saturday, but just a Saturday. I think I would be alright even if I went on a bike on a Saturday if I parked the bike round the corner and walked in. That's because I wouldn't have any cycling gear on. As long as I remembered to remove my bicycle clips from my trouser bottoms I could get a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich!
