Updating the thread (late again)

The Peugeot garage had no issues resetting and repriming the figures (level, or whatever it is). The message went away and no troubles since. Of course, they charged me 50 quid for the privilege.

Sailed through it's recent MOT too - not surprising a so much of the car is brand new!

Thanks so much for all the advice.

P1445: This warning basically means your vehicle has now reached the mileage where the particle filter is at end of life. It has nothing to do with the amount of additive left in the tank.

The additive contains a chemical compound called Cerine, that can't be burned off under regeneration. It is this compound, along with ash and engine deposits that ultimately bock the filter up. The engine ECU has looked at the mileage and determined that sufficient quantity of additive has gone through the system to determine it is at end of life.

You can either have the filter cleaned or replaced and then tell the engine ECU it has been replaced to reset the warning.
