If your kit won't do the reset Graeme, I've got kit here that will!
Wondering now: must I source this Infineum F7995 even where a supplier stocks what they name EOLYS 176?

No, this is an old bulletin, Infineium is obsolete now & was replaced by EXTEND.

As far as the fillers go I believe they are all the same from memory.
This one is from a Powerflex kit.

Hm, I'm confused now! I thought extend was the one that is NOT to be used on a 2008 2.0 hdi Euro4

Its very confusing, extend is for C5 after 2010 sometime. That buliten says 176 is being phased out but service box is still listing it.
Infineum disappeared a good few years ago (at least 3 years) & as far as i can tell was replaced by Extend.

That's why I said that 'Extend' is specifically stated not for the X7 for the OPs build date. Extend is not a straightforward replacement and only applies to certain engines / build dates.

Eolys Extend is only for C5 X7 vehicles from build date 12076. Prior to this is it Eolys 176 from build date 9492 up to build date 12075 (or a compatible aftermarket equivalent), but 176 as said is still available online from various sellers.

Theres no doubt about what fluid the car need’s going by build date, we know its 176 but that old document (which I would think is at least 3 years old) says that 176 is being phased out in favour of infineum (which we know has been obsolete for several years). So do the dealers still have 176? It is still listed on servicebox.

It's still showing up as a valid part number and in the basket.

The document I refer to is 2 years old but is still the latest on Service Box as listed under the C5 X7 and many other vehicles, so had not been updated.

The info is the same in the July 2022 document of the same name for the 508.

Sorry, sowing confusion! That info was from the live version of servicebox, so even Citroen don't know what they are up to... I was thinking of DPX-42 not being available, I think!

I topped up this stuff today but now I wonder how much is meant to be in the tank. I purchased one bottle that's 1l. Filling it took the whole lot and none emerged from the 'overflow' pipe . Perhaps I should have got 2 or more litres and filled until the overflow began dripping. I reset the counter anyway.
