Tesla's latest oopsie to receive public attention is sure to put a dent in the "fully self-driving" myth. A Tesla in FSD mode caused an 8-car pileup in a tunnel when it stopped dead for no apparent reason:
https://insideevs.com/news/630445/tesla ... o-footage/

According to the NHTSA, Tesla vehicles were involved in almost 70 percent of the 392 crashes involving advanced driver-assistance systems reported from July 2021 to June 2022.
Imagine paying $15,000 to be a crash-test dummy for Tesla

This is a bit long but really well worth watching to the end.

Not at all Steve it's pretty ordinary conversation and very interesting to watch right to the end.

Tried but couldn't finish it. He (Robert) is far too emphatic.
I have real problems with 'presenters' and many YT videos are ruined by the person involved, Even Ashley Neal and Jordan (Artisan Electrics) are difficult.
Same with TV and radio presenters, news readers, and weather people.
And adverts, no hope there at all.

Certainly not to most people's liking, but Tyler Hoover who presents Hoovie's Garage on Youtube ('mercan, a bit shouty, variable quality 'product') bought and then got rid of his new Ford F150 in fairly short order. It had shockingly poor range when towing a mid-sized trailer - he was expecting to pay a range penalty, but not to that extent. The poor usable range when towing is a known 'thing'. The day after he sold it the traction battery completely failed - again, a known 'thing', but with no repair date in sight for the new owner as Ford weren't sure when they'd have any spare batteries.

If it's OK with the BEV fanboys, I think I'll let everyone else do the beta testing for me

Price in France at the end of last year - around 18000 euro / $20500
Price in China - $9000
Hmmm! Amazing what a change of badge can do to improve perceived value.

And, talking about perceived value

I wonder where Tesla got it's price slashing ideas from? China of course.

Citroen adds seven-seat XTR Flair model to e-Berlingo Electric line-up

Citroen e-Berlingo Flair XTR XL MRRP £33,000 (with £5 change), 50kWh Battery 175miles WTLP (real world will be less), seven seats, intelligent headlights.

Where would we be without intelligent headlights :?:

Regards Neil
This is a truly bizarre decision by Stellantis - the Berlingo is a no frills family hack with a price to match. Now, as EV only at premium price, they've effectively priced them selves out of the market, and who's going to want a family car that will only do 100 miles on the way to holiday with 3 kids in the back screaming are we nearly there yet, only to be met with "No, we've got to stop 3 times and charge for an hour each time yet, we'll be there after tea". There's missing the market, and there's shooting your foot off with a howitzer!!
Seemingly they have finally realised, and ICE powered Berlingos are back!
