Duckhams, with its yellery-greeny goodness?
Actually, Magnatech comes to mind, probably completely wrong though.

You are on the right product Steve. Certainly the only "oil Advert" which registered as memorable with me, and a very well known Tag-line. You are on the right Brand with Magnatec.myglaren wrote: 03 Jan 2022, 11:23 Duckhams, with its yellery-greeny goodness?

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Was that from one of the Castrol GTX "liquid engineering" collection? If so the music would appear to have been Mahler Symphony No7. Movement 2, sometimes known as Nachtmusic.!!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
and you are right too Steve, I see they were still using Mahler's Symphony No 7 in this Magnatec Advert from 1997.myglaren wrote: 03 Jan 2022, 11:23

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
I heard something by Mahler in a film and liked it. Haven't a clue what it might have been. Would have been in the early seventies.
Bought his fifth symphony but can't get away with it.

A quick Connections question that cropped up this morning:
What links the following christian names?
Thomas, George, Terry, Gerry and Tony?

Here's some rejected theories
Four weddings and a funeral first names of the characters for each....no
Gerry and the pacemakers or Gerry Rafferty band members.....no
Here's one that fits

Characters played by Dennis Waterman George Carter (Sweeney) Terry McCann (Minder) Gerry Standing (New Tricks) Tony Carpenter (On the up) Thomas Gynn (Stay Lucky)

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
It seems my devious inclusion of Thomas and Tony has thrown you off the correct answer!! Have a look at the sitcoms Stay Lucky and On the Up and reassess your research!!NewcastleFalcon wrote: 04 Jan 2022, 19:29Could be members of a Bandmickthemaverick wrote: 04 Jan 2022, 10:53 A quick Connections question that cropped up this morning:
