no, I didn't but I do know that Wikipedia wouldn't be much use in identifying all the Fairthorpe models. This is a car I fancied when I was young. And an Ashley.

Probably my fault confusing matters by throwing in the old whatsthisthen? car (which was a barn find) just to add a bit more of Fairthorpe background for anyone who wanted to delve.

Heres just a little bit more...not Micks car I may add...but has a link to some information on the excellent oldclassiccar website

Well done Gibbo, done and dusted it is a Fairthorpe. I'll not press for the model its a Fairthorpe Electron Minor....has a better car ever come out of Buckinghamshire? The Rockette with the three headlights maybe :-D

...Hopefully if anyone did want to find out more about Fairthorpe there was plenty to enjoy.

I'm sure Air Vice Marshal Donald Clifford Tyndall Bennett, would have been pleased at his company's creation having its moment in the FCF sun :-D

You are welcome Don!

The P5B probably does need rescuing from the UK climate - a lot of rust on that one, and precious little sign that anyone has taken the trouble to protect its undersides recently. Shame. Burgundy was certainly one of the colours that suited it.

Torquey though the 3.5 V8 was, its performance got seriously blunted by the P5's weight, and the BW65 auto box.
Mpg could be uncomfortably close to 15, iirc.

Like P6 - and many Citroens - some fabulous seating.
