Had an unusually good day for ev spotting. First there was a white Tesla M3, then the usual grey BMW i3 then a metallic blue Hyundai Kona, which I would not have noticed had it not been for the green flash, and then the star of the day a black LEVC Taxi queueing at Stirling's Corner on the A1. On the way home another Tesla M3 this time black, a grey VW ID3 parked where I saw it a couple of weeks ago and to round off the trip my second Vauxhall Corsa-e in deep red!! Best haul so far!! :-D

New generation of Electric Vehicle drivers....
One wonders how the test will be impacted and if it will permit automatic only driving.

A BMW i8 and a Tesla S on the A1M - looking down from the bridge :)
Then an i3 and a Leaf further along on my way to collect my car with a nice shiny new MOT.

Looks like a first spot for the thread. Definitely the 100% BEV version, the hybrid version isn't legally allowed to have a green flash :-D

It has that funny rear door thing like the BMW i3 and some versions of the Fiat500e

KIa e-Niro with a personal plate with the green flashes at the charging point tonight. Nice chap Tony, had a decent charger chat with him. Ideal vehicle for his fishing trips over the border :-D

He had a hubsta RFID card. May investigate them further. Not making a great deal of use of my BP pulse subscription, although handy for trips out of the region.

A confirmed spot of a Blue VW ID4. It pulled up at the charger while we had 10 minutes or so left to go. Told the driver out of courtesy which I tend to do and exchanged pleasantries, but it wasn't one of those times for a charging point chat.

The ID3 is pretty much Golf sized and not much different in size from the Leaf, but the ID4 creeps into SUV territory taller wider longer than the BB Leaf, obvious when parked next to each other at the charger.

For the night-time rear-end spotter this is what it looks like...

Absolute top of the spots today a Renault Twizy very rare spot and as such to be elevated to POTD, Charging point buddy a Black MGZS EV with a couple of very new owners of only a couple of days. Mr 19 months EV experience ie me helped them disconnect their Type 2 Cable from the charging point. You have to detach the end plugged into the car first for the lock to release at the post on that 7kW public charger which you use your own cable at.

They were staying at a nearby hotel, but mentioned two of the motorway charging points on the way up were out of order, so not the greatest introduction on their first trip.

One of the other spots was this, yes it definitely has something about it matter of taste whether you like it or not :-D

I keep forgetting to mention but I've seen about 4 polestars recently.

They're a little bit anonymous looking IMO so it was only when I spotted the unusual marque logo that I realised what they were.

Some of them were white and some black - haven't seen them in actual "colours"! :-D
