I remember Ron saying never go to the front of any crowds but he never said exactly why. Now I know!

Before Neil posts his 16000th contribution I thought I'd slip this celebratory picture of another century gone by. This time its 6600cc and a fitting machine for the job:

Ah well, 16,000th post from yours truly as pointed out by Mick.
This week we bought a new broom in at a hardware store spilling out onto the pavement at Bedale. Beechwood handle and colourful bristles, crafted in the United Kingdom, an undoubted weak point though with the plastic attachment which will break, but, this was the clincher, £3.99. Get a piece of beechwood dowel at any DIY or timber merchant for less than £3.99? not likely....investment even when it breaks, thing to hang things on at the very least
So to mark the 16.000th post, the aforementioned New Broom to Sweep Clean, and a turning over of a Leaf to boot.

Regards Neil

I actually have a chance to get my own back on Neil for visiting all those wonderful places he has been posting!! We actually managed to get out for our birthday treat today and visited some beautiful gardens. The venue is the subject of a Wheresthisthen? I have posted so I cannot reveal it here but I can give you a taste of the things to see:
