so a friend of mine, the terrible enabler that he is, linked me to a Renault 30TS w/ manual transmission for not very much money.
instantly intrigued, i started digging into researching the car, and started to realize that Renault reeeeeally didn't sell a ton of these on this side of the pond, and there aren't very many left on the road in UK/Europe either.
i'm an absolute whore for rare cars, but be honest with me. how deep is this hole i'm about to jump into? how screwed am i for parts if i buy this thing?
thanks in advance for any answers!

I cannot help you with the decision, or on the availability of parts but here's a link to a few images of the Renault 30 stable from brochures when they were new in the showrooms. from 1976 to 1983.

I hope so, unfortunately only a few ever made it to Australia as private imports. Also they had carburettors not fuel injection. I did a tour in france in one in 2012. Wish I could have bought it back to Oz with me.

Veering marginally off topic, but Welcome Sunroofsunroof wrote: 07 Jun 2021, 06:17I hope so, unfortunately only a few ever made it to Australia as private imports. Also they had carburettors not fuel injection. I did a tour in france in one in 2012. Wish I could have bought it back to Oz with me.

I carried this avatar for many years on the FCF, just changed it this year. They are moving out of my price bracket over here, but I love the work of Thierry Dubois, and the image conjured up of a bit of open toppage on the Cote-d'Azur is superb.
