I give you the lights from the 1966 Vanden-Plas owned and last driven by one of the world's best-loved entertainers, the late Charles Aznavour

Alas, no musicians at such an hour early in the morning but a nice bandstand all the same...

I have to ask Neil, what connection does Bob Marley have today? :?:

Aha!! Thanks, I was completely ignorant of his music, all I know is that he died young of a nasty disease if I remember correctly! :(

At long last the sodium lights are being replaced, I now have an LED lamp on my outside wall.

Picture not taken out of my window as per usual, but from across the street where I was fighting with the Civic. Flat tyre last night when son wanted it for work, fortunately swiped grandson's Punto.

Tried to inflate it but hopeless. Tried again this morning after lifting it in case the bead had separated, no go. Couldn't get the trolley jack under the car - no spare with this one. There should have been a pump and gloop in the boot but a previous owner has retained them.

Got it fixed, seven quid. :)
Tried to start the car - flat battery. Running the pump must have depleted it. Lights were on too of course :( charging now.

Also:

The flood defences they put in place are not performing as intended. They should have created a bit of a lake that would soak away over 23 days. It isn't and they ave had to bring a pump in to drain the lake.

At least its sorted now Steve, and a lesson learned. I always run the engine and check it is charging before using the tyre compressor! They do draw significant current levels! :)

As I have found. Went for a walk round the park to see the draining efforts and went to check the tyre pressures, naturally, the gauge is in the boot, the boot is locked but the doors are not.
Put the battery on charge and it showed 12V initially. It has now crept up to 13V, very slow charging.
