Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Indeed I was before I responded to your post but now I fear the answer will be lost forever in my wake as I cruise endlessly into space with just my paranoid android for company!!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I believe that order was made when DPD were delivering for Amazon and as a result he received two chickens and learnt nothing!!NewcastleFalcon wrote: 31 Dec 2020, 13:40
I just wonder whether it was a waste of time for the research scientist who, in an attempt to answer one of the greatest questions in pub philosophy, ordered from Amazon a chicken and an egg?

A chicken and an egg were in bed together. The chicken lit a cigarette and said "Well, that answers THAT old question".

To start the New Year on POTD, I have to say I can't see much difference to last year:

is that Scotch?

I planned a very lazy day today and got so fed up and bored of just sitting in my chair listening to the wireless and looking at social media I got up and carried on working on Daffodil

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It is. JW have IMO rather cynically leapt onto the GoT bandwagon, stuck a fancy label on and doubled the price. There are several levels that correspond to the red, black and blue normal labels.
Bought a bottle of red in Tesco - (half price) as I was there to buy a posher scotch for my son (which was also half price

First time I have used my Tesco Club Card. Only go there a couple of times a year - yesterday made it three times

With that blue/white label I keep expecting it to be Vodka. No, I didn't buy it. Christmas present.

That's different Jim. Never seen one of those close up. Could be a lunar rover or something.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
My 5000th post has arrived much to my amazement, the New Year's Day thread has gobbled up a fair few posts!! So it is time for my customary car celebratory picture but as it is a more significant milestone I have had a good look for a suitable vehicle. Without doubt the Ford Motor Company offer up a very wide choice of 5 litre engined cars from the Model A:
and the 100E and 105E through the Zephyr and even the dayvan to the Capri and of course the Infamous GT40 But is a Ford really suitable for a celebration?
Well there are some quirky options like: or the Jeep Renegade and the supercars offer many choices like: and my favourite But all in all , at the end of the day.....etc there is only one which is truly worthy of celebratory status even though I couldn't get in one if you gave it to me
For sheer loony celebratory delight it has to be
So make your own choice and celebrate with me, all I can say is thanks to everybody for putting up with me so long!!
Apologies to Neil for stealing his idea below but I liked it so much I tried to buy the company and they sent me this sample to exaggerate my celebrations:
