Watching the Countryfile advice on macro phone photography I tried it out on our Christmas Table decoration and I can't say I'm blown away:

I saw that episode as well and must have misunderstood it as my photos aren't very enthralling eithermickthemaverick wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 14:33 Watching the Countryfile advice on macro phone photography I tried it out on our Christmas Table decoration and I can't say I'm blown away:![]()

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I have picture-taking devices but would actually need to go somewhere other than Aldi to be able to take any pictures of the slightest interest.
I bought my son a macro lens for his DSLR and he claims he can't get it to macro. Odd. He was supposed to be here with it for examination but he's in London and tier 4 has put the kibosh on that.

Don't worry about them being interesting Steve, I don't. I seem to recall a picture of your bins snapped out of your window even got a couple of "likes". I'll see if I can find itmyglaren wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 17:22 I have picture-taking devices but would actually need to go somewhere other than Aldi to be able to take any pictures of the slightest interest.

Words and picture go together well. Had you not mentioned the fluorescent tube, I wouldn't have noticed it and the rather nice composition.CitroJim wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 17:49On the subject of not being very interesting...My latest artistic composition on the theme of lightingNewcastleFalcon wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 17:44Don't worry about them being interesting Steve, I don't. Come up with a nice caption, and you don't even have to go to ALDI to snap an interesting POTD

You could exhibit that in the Tate Modern!CitroJim wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 17:49On the subject of not being very interesting...NewcastleFalcon wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 17:44Don't worry about them being interesting Steve, I don't. Neil posting that has reminded me that tomorrow is the last chance of a Misty Morning with 2020 vision before the thread automatically disqualifies itself!! So tomorrow morning cameras at the ready for a final fling!!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I think its going to be a cold and frosty morning for sure up here, and maybe Steve could reprise his effort out of the window, although coinciding with bin collection day in Washington may be out of reachmickthemaverick wrote: 30 Dec 2020, 18:53 Neil posting that has reminded me that tomorrow is the last chance of a Misty Morning with 2020 vision before the thread automatically disqualifies itself!!
