Oh you bet! You know me too well Neil! Warships are one of my most favourite locomotives along with Westerns and Hymeks

I used to watch Warships (and Westerns) thundering past the bottom of my grandparents garden as a small boy. I could watch them for hours going full-tilt along a particularly flat and straight section of track a few miles out from Cogload Junction and Taunton. The noise of those Maybach diesels was awesome, even to my young ears Happy memories!

Hymeks I used to regularly see working trains on what is now the West Somerset railway working the weekend trains to and from Butlins back in BR days...

as to be expected big drop on a "normal" month

The Micra's 68055 randomly links to a bit of music. Wonder if Woody Herman is any good, or if "Rhumboogie" is one of his finest recordings. Its a combination of Rhum and Boogie so it should be lively....

I didnt really need to go out in the Leaf today so didnt. I could have quite easily engineered another 7 miles to take it onto 39,000 exactly, but left it naturally on 38,993.

Well the Leaf number 38993 wasnt that productive so I've had to resort to a Dublin Bus.

Miles for the month time is upon us. Leaf hasn't moved since Boxing day, and the Micra not since Dec 22nd.

Think I might give the Micra a de-ice and token run out this afternoon so not quite photograph the mileometer time for me just yet.

December mileages

Lower miles totals for the month, but an increase in Micra miles. It did get used for a couple of fleet-maintenance mobile mechanic heater blower motor fixing trips, and DIY carpentry materials carrying duties, and have to admit it...the heater is better and has negligible effect on "range".

So for me its always the accumulated random total number of miles at the end of month which I try to select a related image for so at the end of this month it is 39446 for the Leaf and 68330 for the Micra.

Well for 39446 Sarah Vaughan was first up on the disc label with a 1951 recording on a 78 with Paul Weston & CBS Orchestra
