The clock tower in Emberton, near Olney...

It was built in 1846 as a memorial to the Rector's wife... The church is nearby...
After WW1 it became the village war memorial...
It has these two plaques on it...

- A lot of money in 1972...

- Dedication to the Rector's wife?

Just down the road is Emberton Country Park.. Good for a scenic walk followed by a coffee and a cake in the cafe...
Also the base for several triathlon and duathlon events...
