Re: Rusty Wrecks-Your Photos (Originals please)
Arrived at place of tutorage and my student won't be available for another 10 mins which gave me time to reflect on my crass assumption from the pictures. Looking at Zel's original post again I think I assumed both shots were taken from the same camera position just panning left to right. Hence my assumption that the engine was in the back!! It's still just as dopey but at least I understand how I got there now!!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Rusty Wrecks-Your Photos (Originals please)
Neil is right on the money of course.
I've no idea which body style variant it was though as there was nothing left behind the middle B pillar...
The thing I remember surprising us the most was that the camshaft still moved!
It probably got dumped off the cliffs nearby we reckon. There had been some really bad storms through just before we visited the area and found that, and all manner of things had been washed up.

It really was a random bit of chance, after a bit of lateral thinking on the possible reason it ended up where it did. Odd that on the most nicked cars in Britain at round about that time ,which was my line of enquiry, it turned up with that article where the Ford Orion sneaked in at number 10, with the first 9 places being filled with various Vauxhall models. Thats probably in the "making your own luck" category.

Didnt look much further after I found that video with the decent match on the steering wheel and the switches, but it could have possibly been some other model from the Ford Escort/Orion stable too.

Thanks for posting 'my' BX in this thread Neil
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Ford 100E and still think they look very attractive and stylish
In many ways the 50s was a golden age for car style...
