Stumbled across this after the Rugby. Very Interesting. Aerial Photography/History/Aerofilms/ Bit on Dunbar and Haddington Practice trenches from old aerial photography. Visually and content excellent.

I wondered if you were watching the new all creatures great and small on channel 5. I binge watched episodes 2 to 5 the other day....thought its not going to be as good as the original but...I think its very very good I mean for me it cant go wrong, gentle nostalgic entertainment against a backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales lovely stuff . I think the cinematography is better than the original.

Have to agree with you about the cinematography and the general production but I preferred Christopher Timothy and Robert Hardy myself although Diana Rigg smashed Mrs Pumphrey!! I have just finished watching Scotland from the Air and it was good, thanks for that Neil, now on a series link for next week.

I was talking to a vintage bus enthusiast today, and he happened to mention the historical inaccuracy of the new ACGAS. Apparently they showed an old bus picking up passengers with just the driver on board...... and the rules of the time stated there should have been a conductor on board as well. How can you trust any of the new series if they're getting that sort of thing wrong ?

Have to say the new All Creatures Great and Small, in spite of the iconic shoes it had to fill particularly with Robert Hardy's Siegfried portrayal, is absolutely excellent. Caught up on Episode 1, after watching 2-5, and up to date with now with this weeks episode 6. Thoroughly enjoyable.
