Gear box panel removal

Post by xrocker2002 »

Dear team,
Yesterday, I accidentally dropped my OBD scanner through the hole below the OBD scanner port. It landed near the gearbox lever which I can see. I tried to put my hand inside but I can't pass through. Please advise me what to remove to take it back?? I removed some of the parts from the gear panel. still, I'm not sure what else to remove?? attached pics for your reference.
Is it possible to remove side panel ie. hook has attached??

Might I suggest that (if there is a suitable hole in the casing) you thread through a decent length of nylon cord? I can almost guarantee you will drop it again, and the cord should make it possible to retrieve it.
