That would have been much better Steve, but no it is a common chicken and there were 4 of them up there!! They live in the grounds of the Castle restaurant in San Miguel and jump/fly into the tree to avoid little urchins chasing them!! They also had 5 or 6 species of duck living around their lake!!

My 1400th post has come round rather quickly but time enough for me to take a rarer choice for my 1400 celebratory car picture:

On behalf of Neil, I am launching this picture of Mick's as a "Where is this?*" competition.
Members of the photographer's family are NOT allowed to enter.
If anyone gets it, I'll eat my hat.

* 'Spain' will not do, I'm afraid.

Nice illustration of the "empty roads of Spain" I think your hat is fairly safe Chris even with my google streetview driving.

I'll not keep you to that Chris, but I do believe this is the exact location of Mick's Photograph.

Well found Neil!!! =D> However not wishing to be pedantic :-D but you did say exact!! I think 3 clicks on the back arrow takes you to the exact spot I took the picture from judging by the relative positions of the roadsign and the roadside furniture on the left. Chris's hat is safe!! :-D

Extraordinary, Neil. Well done, you!
When I first looked at Mick's photo, it seemed pretty much devoid of any striking detail (no offence, Mick), but looking more closely, that isn't the case . . . the obelisk on the left, and the repair marks in the tarmac.
And right, too, about 'three steps back'.
Less turns out to be more!
We have just one hot-cross bun left, so I'll eat that instead, if it's ok with everyone.

Very acceptable compromise Chris :-D . The actual target of the picture when I took it was the approaching storm cloud as I sent it back to SWMBO to show her the peril I was about to endure!
I had intended to start a sister thread to Misty Mornings called Cloudy Days but I just havn't got round to it!!

:rofl2: I guess that does seem a little melodramatic!! To put it in context she had been complaining that it was alright for me living it up in sunny Spain while she was suffering cold rainy, windy days, which of course irritated me as I had been working hard moving my friend and not "living it up" When I sent her the video of the weather from my crossing

she actually apologised!! Brownie points were involved!! :-D

Never mind....our very own Hell Razor has just done the deed :-D
