Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Some extra info I came across while browsing on this palindromic day:
When it comes to writing the date some countries use Month/Day/Year and some use Day/Month/Year
but 02/02/2020 works wherever and however you write it. The last time this happened was 11/11/1111. The next time will be 101 years from now on 12/12/2121. Then not again until the 4th millennium.: 03/03/3030. And so on and so on.
And speaking of threes, 02/02/2020 is the 33rd day of the year with, thanks to it being a Leap Year, 333 days left.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Of course you could argue that 8th October 2018 was palindromic in the uk and 10th August 2018 over the pond in which case there are loads more but I don't accept those because of the limitations!! Just saying....

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It's been a bit of a day for me!! After my morning cuppa I put the car on the drive to investigate my door issue (details at viewtopic.php?t=64184) and then set about repairing the laptop power supply to use the lexia. By the time I was ready the car had fixed itself so I drove it off the drive to keep garage access clear for SWMBO. As I walked back down the drive I noticed tyre marks in the algae so I thought I'd better clean that to avoid a brownie point loss. Of course once I started to clean the tyre marks it became evident that the whole drive needed cleaning so I set to and did it. I didn't think to take a photo of the tyre marks but I did take the following when it was 3/4 done and the final result. Here's to a brownie point credit when she returns!!

If you like a bit of decorative concreting, on your March meander you can collect a couple of stones from Cresswell Beach as souvenirs at the bottom of the steps where the dog is in this pic!

When you posted the beach shot Neil I was reminded of a TTTV presenter called Cresswell (Helen, I thought, incorrectly) but have drawn a blank finding her - I'm sure she was Mike Neville's sidekick.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
A perambulation through an industrial estate sowed a disappointing amount of rubbish everywhere - the recent winds partly to blame but literally tons of drinks cans and bottles, food wrapping etc. They must stuff their faces in their cars then chuck the crap out of the window.
As if that wasn't bad enough:
Just a few of many

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
And the local Makro, now combined with another cash & carry.
Hardly exciting and this is only part of the main car park, there used to be an overflow car park at the rear, gone now and other businesses built there.
I used to work next door to that store and for years had a Makro card. My former next door neighbour was a butcher there.
It used to be a fight to get in to those car parks. I forget the exact sums involved but someone who worked in the Metrocenter said they had taken around £3,000,000 that week - just before Christmas. Makro had taken £11,000,000 in one day alone.
That would have been around 1987 and the Metrocenter was fairly new.
