I think the old petrol pump is more interesting.
This was in response to Neil's 'fascinating' post, Chris popped in with his while I was typing.

Are you sure that's a petrol pump Gibbo? It looks like a tyre pressure guage on my phone but the picture is rather small on here!!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Sorry about that, Gibbo!
I know that Lochearnhead junction well, having driven through there many times en route north.

Well there's a thing, I ran out of diesel at Lochearnhead with a caravan on the back - that would have been in the '70s. Fuel tank had a dent in the bottom causing the float to indicate 1/4 full.

Gentlemen focus on the Weighing Machine there is more to it than meets the eye. Immediately behind it on the wall is this wonderful relic of the ordinance survey's activities in that part of the world.mickthemaverick wrote: 16 Dec 2019, 10:19 Are you sure that's a petrol pump Gibbo? You might be correct Mick, I just looked quickly at it and thought it reminded me of a wind up petrol pump I saw up in the Welsh hills years ago.mickthemaverick wrote: 16 Dec 2019, 10:19 Are you sure that's a petrol pump Gibbo?
