Beautiful she was.
Flew in the open window and out again, to quick for a photo.

A flick through the pages of Country life comes up with 7 suggestions, although how often a Shower would be used by the modest residents of Crinkley Bottom is another consideration.Stickyfinger wrote: ↑25 Aug 2019, 15:17 Village life works

Their migration is quite staggering, from Africa and the Mediterranean to Northern Europe and even Iceland.myglaren wrote: ↑25 Aug 2019, 18:14I just had a visit from a painted lady, in my bedroomNewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑25 Aug 2019, 14:02 I have a picture of a painted lady and a peacock should this prove to be a slow news day on POTD

As trailed my painted lady and my peacock.
A perfect illustration of a POTD post.......it doesnt have to be completely in focus, butterflies close their wings or fly off just when you snap the shutter. The Buddleia tends to be a magnet for them and the nectar gorge does slow them down a bit!

Drove through a village the other day where they had shelved it out and were using it as a free book swap library, fitted with an electric lock and presumably all members have a keyfob.!!Stickyfinger wrote: ↑25 Aug 2019, 15:17 Village life works
