I just had a visit from a painted lady, in my bedroom!

Beautiful she was.

Flew in the open window and out again, to quick for a photo.

A flick through the pages of Country life comes up with 7 suggestions, although how often a Shower would be used by the modest residents of Crinkley Bottom is another consideration.

Their migration is quite staggering, from Africa and the Mediterranean to Northern Europe and even Iceland.

As trailed my painted lady and my peacock.
A perfect illustration of a POTD post.......it doesnt have to be completely in focus, butterflies close their wings or fly off just when you snap the shutter. The Buddleia tends to be a magnet for them and the nectar gorge does slow them down a bit!

Drove through a village the other day where they had shelved it out and were using it as a free book swap library, fitted with an electric lock and presumably all members have a keyfob.!!
