Hi everyone,
I recently bought a 2014 Megane 1.5 DCI and a bit struggling with the keyless:
When entering the key to the slot, I get a 'Key card not recognized' prompt, but - I am able to start the car with no issue even if the card is not in the slot.
Furthermore - auto lock always works when walking away from the car! But when I want to unlock it - it only works from the right back door or the boot - which is very weird.
I was able to occasionally 'fix' the error and then the keyless worked from all doors (just put my hand on the lever and it opens) - but I can't understand how and it usually doesn't last.
Any thoughts? Specifically on why the keyless always works - but from only one rear door??
Thank you all very much

Re: Keyless entry conundrum
I had a load of bother with my daughter's Megane a few months ago, sometimes refused to lock, sometimes wouldn't unlock.
Same with the spare key.
Turned out to be the batteries in the key fobs.
Cheap fix worth trying.

Re: Keyless entry conundrum
Hi,
I did of course, changed both cards batteries as one for one of them I got a message in the dash but that didn't help.
I don't have an actual issue, I can always get in the car and start it, just the keyless system and the not recognized message that bugs me
