Hi everyone,
I would like yous opinions with a very frustrating problem I am having with my daughters 2007 Peugoet 206 1.4 8v petrol car please.
So far I have:-
Checked for fault codes (but I don't have a PP200 device yet) one code for misfire on injector 4
Fully charged the battery
Changed the spark plugs and the coil
Removed the fuel pump and confirmed tank 3/4 full and fuel pump inlet clean
Given 12v to fuel pump and it delivers 45-50psi at the rail.
Timing belt good and all rockers moving
Compression test shows 210-220 psi on all cylinders
Noid light test on injectors shows no flashing
Checked all fuses and nothing blown
Removed ECU and sent to ECU doctor in Devon, but no fault found and only 1 fault code as above.
I checked the earth strap to the top of the gearbox casing
Tried the BSI reset process a few times
Still wont start .....so I am pretty lost as to what to do next.....
I hope you can help please.

Yes as long as the key was in the ignition? I tried a BSi reset (I think I got it right) and it does alarm when the sidelights are on too? Will the Diagbox diagnostics pin point a comm 2000 error if one exists?

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Get it on PP2000 before you do anything. That will tell you if the transponder coil is reading the key fob and whether the engine ECU is locked or not.

Yep....agree......I have gone around the houses enough and have slowly realised that without PP2000 on a PSA car we are pretty much in the dark.......
I should have the laptop available on Thursday/Friday and I am already reading through your many good posts on diagnostics......so appreciate the help aleady offered up!
I'll make sure I feed back any news, hopefully good news!

Ok, no worries - Lexia / PP2000 really is essential these days - but at least if you do invest in a kit it will do Peugeot, Citroen and DS Autos

Re: Another 206 non starter!
Its getting the correct diagnostic equipment and using it properly. Peugeot cars are pretty easy to do mechanical repairs on and the comms unit is pretty easy to remove if you follow the procedure. Don't need any special tools to do it just follow the battery disconnection and air bag disconnection steps and Robert's your mothers brother.

Re: Another 206 non starter!
I agree on the mechanical side of things........I used to run a quite successful Saxo VTS/106 Rally car and with all the frills stripped off it, and clean as a whistle (except after forest stages) it was a dream to work on. Id happily whip the suspension aprart and change torsion bars or struts between events.......but now with BSi/Com 200/ ECU/ BM34 blah blah...its all a bit different!
