Re: Citroen C5 X7 window will not move

Just replaced my drivers door regulator and it was a couple of strands of wire which had broken and stopped the mechanism working.

Got my replacement from the French gentleman advertising on flea bay, fitted on with no problems, worth a look.

Old thread i know but.......................
For the last couple of weeks the drivers window had been playing up, well more the switch really. It would go up and down no problem but occasionally ( more often than not ) when pressed to open it would go so far down and stop. when pressed to go up it would actually go down and then when pressed again to go up it would.
However now it goes down about an inch and no more. Press to close straight back up.
Head says it is the mechanism but heart is hoping it is the switch [-o<
I know the part numbers are different as they are different parts but would the wiring and plugs be the same in my C5 and my C4, Vins in my signature.
My thinking is just swap them over to test the switch theory before i go down the replacement route. :-D
Cannot access the C4 until Thursday so just asking in advance.

thanks
Colin
