Hi, I'm considering a Connects2 (http://www.connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CTVPGX010) CD changer to 3.5mm headphone plug adapter. The Connects2 technical department states that it might be necessary to 'enable' the CD changer before the adapter works. Does anyone know if this is possible with the Lexia 3 - Peugeot Planet?
Thanks (as usual) - Alex.

Re: Enabling CD changer auxiliary input.
Pop your VIN up, as I need to see what system you have and that will tell me which options you have. Don't expect miracles though - this won't provide track control, track listings or anything like that as all it seems to do is convert the CD changer port to RCA input, so there is no direct control of the music device. It will rely on you hitting 'play' on your MP3 player / audio device and will simply play the audio output. The only thing you will have control over is the volume and that's about it.
I would suggest you go for something a little better like a Yatour unit that uses the CD changer port, but also provides compatibility with USB devices. So if you organise the files on the USB stick like a CD changer would have in up to 6 folders, each with various tracks, then at least the unit would treat it like a CD changer and allow you track control etc.

Re: Enabling CD changer auxiliary input.
Well there's the possibility you have either the Clarion, or the VDO unit (later replaced with a Philips system). So hard to tell, but essentially and RD3 unit with single slot CD. There was a CD changer unit available on these as an option, so you should be good to go.
Here's a link to that Yatour one I was talking about:

Marc - thanks for the info. Yep, it's a VDO RD3 Model No: PSARCD100-00. It has a socket for the CD changer, just not sure what to look for to enable it via the Lexia3. That Yatour looks like a good choice too
Thanks - Alex.

Re: Enabling CD changer auxiliary input.
Unlike other later head units Alex, there doesn’t initially appear to be an option in the ECU to enBle the CD Changer, somI suspecting is already enabled, or doesn’t need it. But should it turn out to be required, then Peugeot Planet 2000 (included within Diagbox) will be able to enable it if necessary.
There are several versions of these Yatour units, each with differing features, so you can find the one you want. It would seem to provide quite a few more options over the CD to RCA only option .

Re: Enabling CD changer auxiliary input.
Yes, the axillary adapter was recognised after connection without enabling as you suggested Marc - thanks Alex.
