There are not many PRV experts hanging around here at present. I suggest you join http://www.club-xm.co.uk and ask there. But do come back here!

Early 504's with the V6 apparently used this sensor. I have been given a part number of 591817 if anyone can help?

I've not seen a PRV with a Cam sensor as standard, where does it mount?

Sorry, what car is this engine fitted to aswell? if you have an early PRV then that would be an oddfire 1970's version? and i cannot think of any 70's engine technology in a production car that could make use of a camshaft sensor, usually, these are used for stuff like sequential injection and individual cylinder spark control that you get with the newer coil on plug setups...................I'm just intrigued as to what engine this is, and what car.

Yes, many Volvo's although Volvo left the venture early and developed its own engines in the 80's i think, So far as i'm aware the PRV in various power outputs and configurations went into Volvos, Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, Dodge, Chrysler, Alpine, Venturi, Lancia, Talbot, the P88 Peugeot le mans car and of course Delorean.

Its safe to say it got about a bit.
