Bit of disruption on the Great Western Railway
One of these high-speed Class 802 train's was on a test run around 10pm Tuesday, running from London to Bristol depot when it ripped into the overhead wires, bringing them down. Still being the in vogue "bi-mode" locos it was able to extracate itself under diesel power.
Nothing more British than a Hitachi..there's even a factory here up North at Newton Aycliffe but these particular ones are made at their factory in Pistoia (Italy)
I do believe the offending train came from Hitachi's quaintly named
"North Pole Depot"
