Millau Bridge pretty spectacular from underneath and surrounding valley. You don't appreciate it fully while actually crossing it, unfortunately. Overnighted once in the small town of Millau; never did find anywhere decent to eat!

I only knew Dungeness before the power station was built, used to like it down there.

Near to Camber Sands, where "Carry On, Follow That Camel" was filmed.

Doesn't look like Dounray. There was nothing at Camber sands when we used to live in Kent either, except a little row of bungalows along behind the dunes.

If you drive up the A1 on your trips to Scotland just before Dunbar you will have passed it many times. That's the Bass Rock in the background. Its a building that stands out in the landscape quite stark in its white blocky concreteness

Nope, no Pontins, we are talking about the '50s. We go M5, M6, A/M74 ... A9 to Scotland. We are going to Yorkshire in a couple of weeks, that will be A1/A1M though.

DuckWatch Update
Some of you might remember my previous post about my surprise encounter with some newly hatched ducklings going 'round in circles in a swimming pool
Well, the 5 ducklings were duly joined by one from another nest and they've all been happily paddling around in the lake at work for the last couple of months and I've been feeding them when I can - along with all the other wildfowl
Today I wandered down to the lake to be greeted by 6 ducklings (plus mum) on the grass, quacking away. They ran straight towards me
and stuck right at my heels until I got to out some corn for them. They then proceded to eat - ravinously - out of my hand
I'd never normally feed them when they are out of the water, but I've never had this happen before so I thought I'd make an exception.
Greedy ducklings.......

Felt this snap from today at a local classic car gathering was worth sharing when we managed to completely at random get this pair next to each other again 27/8 years after they left the same factory.
Slightly envious of the condition of the green one...though it has been recently restored at significant cost unlike mine.
